What it is
Modern Industrialization's first multiblock. It runs on steam and bakes coal into coke, the first step toward steel.
How to use it
- Craft the controller: a furnace in a ring of eight Bricks blocks.
- Build a hollow 3 by 3 by 3 cube around it from 21 Bricks, an item input, an item output and a fluid input hatch, such as the Bronze Item Input Hatch. Hold a Wrench to see what is missing.
- Fill the fluid hatch with steam and the item hatch with coal. Each coal becomes one Coke in 30 seconds at 2 EU/t.
- Add a fluid output hatch to keep the creosote: about half the runs give 500 mB. Without it the creosote is lost.
