How to install the packs and join

Six steps from nothing to standing in the world. The account side (signing in, claiming your name, paying) is on the join page.

Step by step

  1. Have Minecraft: Java Edition

Every pack here runs on NeoForge, which is Java Edition only. Bedrock on a console or a phone can't connect. Your own Microsoft account is the one you play with.

  2. Install the CurseForge app

Our packs come from CurseForge exactly as their authors publish them, so the CurseForge app is the simplest way to get them. Prism Launcher can import CurseForge packs too, if you already use it.

  3. Install the exact version the server runs

Open the file page for the world you want and press Install, and it opens in the app. FTB StoneBlock 4 1.0.1, All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.6 and All the Mods 10 8.2.

Take that version even when the app offers a newer one. The server compares your mod list with its own when you connect, and a different version is turned away.

  4. Add the extra mod

ATM10 needs Simple Voice Chat 2.6.24 on top of the pack. In the app, open the installed profile, add a mod, find it and pick that exact version. The server only accepts that one.

  5. Give the game at least 8 GB of memory

A big pack needs far more memory than plain Minecraft, and too little shows up as long freezes. We recommend at least 8 GB for any of our packs. Set it in the CurseForge app's settings, under Minecraft, and leave some for Windows and everything else that's open.

  6. Add the server and join

Start the pack once and wait for the main menu: the first start of a big pack takes a while. Then go to Multiplayer, press Add Server and type the address. No port: it's in the DNS record.

FTB StoneBlock 4 is sb4.privatechunks.net, ATM10 To The Sky is atm10tts.privatechunks.net and ATM10 is atm10.privatechunks.net.

The server only lets in people on its whitelist. You're added when you finish the four steps on the join page, and the whitelist catches up within a minute.

If it doesn't work

It says my mod list doesn't match the server's.

You have a different version of the pack, usually the newest one. Install the exact file linked above, in a new profile if you'd rather keep the other.

It says I'm not whitelisted.

The server doesn't know your Minecraft name yet. Check that the name you claimed on the site is the one you play with, and that the join page shows every step done. The whitelist updates about once a minute.

The game freezes or crashes while loading.

Usually it's memory. Check the app gives the game at least 8 GB, close other big programs, and try again.

Do I need to install anything for ATM10 besides the pack?

Yes: Simple Voice Chat 2.6.24. Nothing else.

Can I use a different launcher?

Yes, as long as it installs the same CurseForge file. Prism Launcher imports CurseForge packs. What matters is the version, not the launcher.
