The list
How the list is made
Which packs are on it is our choice: the big names people ask about, and the ones near the top of CurseForge. Every figure on it is CurseForge's, read on 18 October 2026.
A pack is on the list when a new version of it came out in the twelve months before that day, and the list is ranked by total downloads. That count includes every install since the pack was made, so an older pack starts ahead of a newer one.
FTB's packs can also be installed through FTB's own app, and those installs aren't in CurseForge's count, so they may be played more than their place here says. Packs that are only on Modrinth aren't here, because one list shouldn't compare two sites' counts.
We run three of these: All the Mods 10, ATM10 To The Sky and FTB StoneBlock 4. They're marked as ours and ranked by the same rule as every other pack.

Questions
What is the most popular Minecraft modpack?
By all-time downloads on CurseForge it's RLCraft, with 30.4 million, but its newest version came out in 2023. Of the packs still being updated, All the Mods 10 leads with 22.4 million.
Which modpack is best to play with friends?
Nearly all of them run on a server, so what changes is how a pack handles a group. In ATM10 To The Sky each team gets an island of its own, and in StoneBlock 4 a base of its own. How to play ATM10 with friends compares the ways to run one, from free to a monthly bill.
Which modpacks are on Minecraft 1.21.1?
On this list, All the Mods 10, The Pixelmon Modpack, ATM10 To The Sky, FTB StoneBlock 4, Craftoria, FTB OceanBlock 2, Create Chronicles: The Endventure, FTB Skies 2 and FTB Evolution. That's the newest version of each as CurseForge has it.
What are the best skyblock modpacks?
Ranked the same way, the skyblocks on this list are ATM10 To The Sky, ATM9 To The Sky, Star Technology, FTB Skies 2, Mechanical Mastery and FTB Skies, most downloaded first.
How much memory does a modpack need?
For a big pack like All the Mods 10, give the game at least 8 GB. That's what we tell people for all three of ours. Lighter packs, like the vanilla+ ones, need less.
Why isn't my favourite pack here?
Either it hasn't had an update in the last year, and it's in the list of packs left out further down, or we didn't pick it. Tell us in the Discord which one is missing and we'll read its figures too.
