Advanced Hives features a GUI from where you can see which bees are currently inside the hive as well as take out any produced resources. Advanced Hives can be further upgraded using an expansion box. Attaching an expansion box will increase the bee capacity from 3 to 5 and allow upgrades to be installed. If you're tired of waiting for the bees to finish their job and get out of the hive, you can whack the hive or nest with a stick to force it out, losing all production progress. This only works if it's safe for the bees to exit.
