What it is

The first Modern Industrialization block. It needs no power or steam: it turns ores into raw ores, ingots into dust or plates, and bricks into brick dust.

How to use it

  1. Craft it: three Heavy Weighted Pressure Plates across the top, one Iron Ingot in the middle and three along the bottom.
  2. Put an item in and pick the result from its list, as on a stonecutter. An ore gives two raw ores, and two ingots make one plate.
  3. Put a hammer such as the Iron Hammer in its tool slot: an ore then gives three raw ores, a plate costs one ingot, and more recipes open. Each use costs durability.
  4. On To The Sky the Forge Hammer quest asks for the machine and any hammer, and pays a Diamond Hammer.
