What it is
The quartz AE2 is built on. It grows on budding certus blocks, which you first find in meteorites, and a Charger turns it into charged certus.
How to get it
- Find a meteorite and mine the Certus Quartz Clusters on its budding blocks. A full-grown cluster gives four crystals, more with Fortune.
- Take the budding blocks home with a Silk Touch pickaxe, which keeps them at their tier. A flawless one drops to flawed even so, so leave it where it is.
- Put powered Growth Accelerators next to them. Harvest only full-grown clusters: a bud broken early gives one dust.

- Four crystals make a Certus Quartz Block, and the block crafts back into four.
- Mystical Agriculture: eight Certus Quartz Essence craft into six crystals.
