Ender IO is the mod of alloys and conduits. An Alloy Smelter turns ordinary metals into eight alloys, the alloys become conduits that carry energy, fluids and items several to a block, and the later machines work with mob souls: capture a mob in a vial and bind its soul into a spawner or a crystal. Nearly everything starts with Grains of Infinity.

Getting started

Light a fire on bedrock in the Overworld and it leaves Grains of Infinity behind, one to three at a time most times. Fire on deepslate works too, less often, and burns the deepslate to cobblestone.

Grains of Infinity and iron make the Void Chassis, the frame of most machines. ATM10 removes the recipe for Ender IO's own Infinity Bimetal Gear, and the machines take any iron gear instead, like All The Ores' Iron Gear. The first machine is the Alloy Smelter: three furnaces, two iron gears, two iron, obsidian and a Void Chassis.

Every Ender IO machine needs a capacitor in its slot before it does anything. The Basic Capacitor is copper, gold nuggets and Grains of Infinity. Power comes from a Stirling Generator, which burns fuel, or from any other mod's generator.

The alloys

Each one comes out of the Alloy Smelter. Most are steps on the way to the next.

Conductive Alloy: Conductive Alloy: iron and copper. Energy and item conduits.
Redstone Alloy: Redstone Alloy: redstone and copper.
Energetic Alloy: Energetic Alloy: Conductive Alloy, redstone and gold.
Vibrant Alloy: Vibrant Alloy: Energetic Alloy, an ender pearl and glowstone.
Pulsating Alloy: Pulsating Alloy: iron and an ender pearl.
Dark Steel: Dark Steel: iron, coal dust and obsidian. Tough tools and blocks.
Soularium: Soularium: gold and soul sand. The soul machines need it.
End Steel: End Steel: end stone, Dark Steel and obsidian.

Eight nuggets of Pulsating Alloy around a diamond make a Pulsating Crystal, and eight of Vibrant Alloy around an emerald a Vibrant Crystal.

Capacitors

Basic: Basic Capacitor: copper, gold nuggets and Grains of Infinity.
Double-Layer: Double-Layer Capacitor: two Basic Capacitors, two Energetic Alloy and coal dust.
Octadic: Octadic Capacitor: two Double-Layer Capacitors, two Vibrant Alloy and a glowstone block.

A better capacitor lets a machine hold more energy and use it better, so swap them up as you go. Capacitor Banks are something else: blocks that store energy.

Conduits

Clay, sand and gravel make Conduit Binder Composite, which smelts into Conduit Binder. Binder and an alloy make conduits eight at a time, and conduits of different kinds share one block, so a single line carries power, fluid and items together.

Energy: Conductive Alloy, then Energetic Alloy for more, then Vibrant Alloy for ender energy conduit.
Fluid: Conductive Alloy and clear glass, with pressurized and ender versions above it.
Item: Conductive and Pulsating Alloy, and Energetic Alloy for the faster one.

A Conduit Facade hides a conduit behind any block's look, a hardened one resists explosions, and the Yeta Wrench configures each connection.

The machines

SAG Mill: The SAG Mill grinds ores with a chance of extra output. A grinding ball in it, like the Dark Steel Grinding Ball, improves the chances.
Alloy Smelter: Makes the alloys, and smelts like a furnace.
Painting Machine: The Painting Machine gives a block, a facade or a pressure plate the look of another.
VAT: The VAT ferments fluids, from Hootch up to Fire Water and Rocket Fuel.
Crafter: The Crafter crafts a set recipe automatically.
Farming Station: The Farming Station plants, tends and harvests the crops around it.
Enchanter: The Enchanter puts a chosen enchantment on a book for items and levels, like eight blaze rods for Fire Aspect.

The Impulse Hopper, Drain, Vacuum Chest and XP Obelisk handle the smaller jobs: moving items, pumping fluid, picking up drops and storing experience.

Souls

A Soul Vial, Soularium and fused quartz, catches a mob: use it on the mob, and use it again to let it out. The Soul Binder binds a captured soul into an item.

Bind a soul into a Broken Spawner and you get a Powered Spawner that spawns that mob on power. The Soul Binder also turns a Vibrant Crystal into a Prescient Crystal. The Slice'N'Splice is built with a mob skull on an Ensouled Chassis, the frame the soul machines share.

Getting around

Travel Anchors, iron, Conduit Binder and a Pulsating Crystal, are places to jump between. Stand on one and look at another to go there, or carry the Staff of Travelling, Dark Steel and an Ender Crystal, to jump from anywhere.

Dark Steel also makes a sword, the Ender, and with two wings the Glider.

What ATM10 changes

The SAG Mill grinds allthemodium, vibranium and unobtainium, and Silent Gear's crimson iron, azure silver and their alloys: an ore gives raw ore with a chance of more, raw ore gives dust with a chance of more, and ingots go back to dust.
It grinds certus quartz, fluix, sky stone and ender pearls into AE2's dusts, and Ender IO's own ender pearl recipe is gone.
It also takes mithril, black quartz, uraninite, bort and xychorium ores.
