Cobble Gen Galore

Adds block generator blocks for cobble and other block generators.

Adds7

Cobble Gen Galore adds seven block generators that turn water and lava into cobblestone and other stone, with no power and no fuel. To The Sky changes every recipe so each tier is built from the one below it: the Iron Block Generator takes a Copper Block Generator, six iron ingots and a bucket each of water and lava, and makes 8 cobblestone a second.

How to set up a block generator

  • Place the generator with Water on one side and Lava on the opposite side: north and south, or east and west. Source blocks work, and so does a tank holding the fluid.
  • Put a Chest, a Barrel or a Hopper on top. Once a second the generator pushes what it made into that block.
  • Leave the space under it empty for cobblestone. A block placed under it picks another recipe: granite under it makes granite.

Cobblestone, granite, diorite, andesite and tuff need nothing used up. Stone (water and lava over stone) uses the water and obsidian (over obsidian) uses the lava: a source block is removed after one block, and a tank is drained 1,000 mB for each one, so feed those two from a tank.

Every tier, its recipe and how fast it is

To The Sky's config runs one cycle a second (tickRate 20). Each tier multiplies the recipe: cobblestone and the other double-speed blocks give two per cycle on the Stone Block Generator, stone, obsidian and the rest give one. A cycle never makes more than a stack, so on cobblestone the Netherite tier gives the same 64 a second as the Diamond one.

Stone Block Generator
x1. 2 cobblestone a second, 1 a second of stone, obsidian, basalt or deepslate. Six Cobblestone, one glass, a water bucket and a lava bucket. See Stone Block Generator.
Copper Block Generator
x2. 4 cobblestone a second, 2 a second of stone, obsidian, basalt or deepslate. Six Copper Ingots, a Stone Block Generator, a water bucket and a lava bucket. See Copper Block Generator.
Iron Block Generator
x4. 8 cobblestone a second, 4 a second of stone, obsidian, basalt or deepslate. Six Iron Ingots, a Copper Block Generator, a water bucket and a lava bucket. See Iron Block Generator.
Gold Block Generator
x8. 16 cobblestone a second, 8 a second of stone, obsidian, basalt or deepslate. Six Gold Ingots, an Iron Block Generator, a water bucket and a lava bucket. See Gold Block Generator.
Emerald Block Generator
x16. 32 cobblestone a second, 16 a second of stone, obsidian, basalt or deepslate. Six Emeralds, a Gold Block Generator, a water bucket and a lava bucket. See Emerald Block Generator.
Diamond Block Generator
x32. 64 cobblestone a second, 32 a second of stone, obsidian, basalt or deepslate. Six Diamonds, an Emerald Block Generator, a water bucket and a lava bucket. See Diamond Block Generator.
Netherite Block Generator
x64. 64 cobblestone a second, 64 a second of stone, obsidian, basalt or deepslate. Six Netherite Ingots, a Diamond Block Generator, a water bucket and a lava bucket. See Netherite Block Generator.

Every recipe has the material across the top and bottom rows, and a water bucket, the generator one tier below and a lava bucket across the middle. The Stone Block Generator takes glass in the middle instead.

What it can make

Fluids on the two sides, and the block underneath when a recipe needs one. Double speed where it says so.

Cobblestone
Water and lava, nothing under it. Double speed. See Cobblestone.
Granite, diorite, andesite, tuff
Water and lava over the same block. Double speed.
Stone
Water and lava over Stone. Uses up the water.
Obsidian
Water and lava over Obsidian. Uses up the lava.
Calcite
Water and lava over calcite.
End stone
Water and lava over end stone, or Witch Water and lava over Glowstone.
Netherrack
Lava on both sides over Netherrack at double speed, or witch water and lava over a Block of Redstone.
Blackstone
Lava on both sides over blackstone.
Darkstone
Witch water and lava over an Arcane Crystal Block makes Darkstone.
Cobbled deepslate
Packed Ice and lava, nothing under it.
Basalt
Blue Ice and lava, nothing under it.
Mud
Water and Dirt on the two sides.
Create's stones
Water and lava over Limestone, scoria, crimsite, ochrum, veridium or asurine. Double speed.
Kivi
Water and lava over Kivi. Double speed.
Sky stone dust
Water and lava over Sky Stone makes Sky Stone Dust. Double speed.
Ancient stone
Soul Lava and blue ice over oxidized copper at double speed, or packed ice and soul lava over a Block of Allthemodium. Makes Ancient Stone.

Getting the blocks out

  • The generator holds one stack of what it makes. Each second it adds to that stack and then pushes it into the block on top.
  • With nothing on top, or a full inventory there, it stops when 64 are waiting.
  • Pipes and hoppers cannot pull from its sides or its bottom: it has no inventory of its own for them to reach. Only the block on top gets items.
  • Right-click it with an empty hand, or holding the same block, to take what is waiting.
  • It drops itself when broken with a pickaxe, but the waiting stack is lost. Empty it first.

Upgrading to the next tier

There is no upgrade item. Empty the generator, break it with a pickaxe and put it in the middle of the next tier's recipe with six of that tier's material and a bucket each of water and lava. A Netherite Block Generator holds the whole chain: six each of cobblestone, copper, iron, gold, emeralds, diamonds and netherite ingots, one glass, and seven buckets each of water and lava, which come back empty.

Questions

How do I make an Iron Block Generator on ATM10 To The Sky?

Craft a Copper Block Generator first. Then put six iron ingots across the top and bottom rows, and a water bucket, the Copper Block Generator and a lava bucket across the middle. It makes 8 cobblestone a second.

How do I make a Copper Block Generator on To The Sky?

Six copper ingots across the top and bottom rows, and a water bucket, a Stone Block Generator and a lava bucket across the middle. The Stone one is six cobblestone, a glass and the same two buckets. It makes 4 cobblestone a second.

Why did my generator stop?

It holds one stack and only empties into the block on top. Put a chest, barrel or hopper there, or take the stack out by hand. If it was making stone or obsidian, the water or lava source was used up.

Is the Iron Block Generator the iron generator for power?

No, it makes blocks and no power. The power one is Generator Galore's Iron Generator, which burns furnace fuel at 80 FE/t on To The Sky.
