Supplementaries

Many functional and useful Vanilla+ blocks.
Supplementaries adds a few hundred small blocks and items that fill gaps in vanilla Minecraft: redstone parts such as the Cog Block and Turn Table, storage like the Sack, Jar and Safe, travel tools like the Rope and Flute, decoration, and throwables up to a working cannon. Nothing needs power. Most recipes use wood, iron, copper and flax.

Redstone blocks: Cog Block, Turn Table, Pulley and the rest
The Cog Block is redstone dust as a solid block. It takes the strongest signal next to it and passes it on one level weaker on all six sides, so a row or a column of cogs carries a signal like dust does, about 14 blocks from a full signal. It goes straight up and down and needs no block under it, which makes it the compact way to send a signal between floors. It is a redstone block and does not turn Create's cogwheels.
- Cog Block
- Six from eight Copper Ingots around a Block of Redstone. Carries a signal in every direction, one level weaker per block.
- Relayer
- Copies the signal in front of it out of its back, at the same strength, one tick later. It keeps analog signals exact and side by side chains do not mix. Six cobblestone, two redstone and an iron ingot.
- Crank
- An analog lever: each turn raises its signal by one up to 15, sneaking turns it back. A crank on the back of a Pulley Block winds it. A stick on three stone.
- Turn Table
- Rotates the block it faces, and mobs standing on it when it faces up. A stronger signal turns faster: every 4 ticks at power 15, every 60 at power 1. Right-click reverses it. A turn table also winds a Pulley Block.
- Spring Launcher
- Pushes out like a piston and throws whatever stands on it, about twice as far as a piston and slime block. Falling 5 blocks onto an extended one bounces you back up. It moves entities only, never blocks.
- Bellows
- Blows air while powered, faster with a stronger signal. It pushes mobs up to 5 blocks away, speeds up a furnace beside it and keeps fire in front of it burning. Six wooden slabs and two leather.
- Pulley Block
- Holds rope or chain in its one slot and lowers or raises it when a Turn Table or Crank turns it, pulling the block on the end along. Pulleys side by side turn together, which is how lifts are built.
- Minecart with Dispenser
- A dispenser and a minecart, crafted together. It fires once each time it rolls onto a powered activator rail.
- Wind Vane
- Gives power 1 in rain and 2 in a thunderstorm, and strong power to the block under it.
- Clock Block
- Shows the time of day; a comparator reads it as 0 to 15, and it updates once an in-game hour. Eight planks around a clock.
- Crystal Display
- Shows the number of the signal it receives. Two side by side show signals above 10.
- Redstone Illuminator
- A lamp that works backwards: lit with no signal, dimmer the stronger the signal.
Smaller pieces: the Speaker Block sends a chat message to players within 64 blocks when powered, the Lock Block sends a pulse when a player carrying its key uses it, and the Hourglass gives a comparator signal as its sand runs out.
Storage and display: sacks, safes, jars and shelves
- Sack
- An early shulker box with 9 slots that keeps its contents when broken. Carrying more than two gives you Overencumbered, which stops sprinting. Seven flax and a string.
- Safe
- A fireproof shulker box you can lock with a Key. Craft any Shulker Box with a Netherite Ingot; the contents stay inside.
- Jar
- Holds 12 cookies, 12 bottles of a liquid, or one small mob such as a bee, slime or frog. A wooden slab and seven glass.
- Cage
- Catches a small mob or a baby animal; a tameable one must be tamed first. Click a mob with it, sneak-click to place it.
- Item Shelf
- A small wall shelf that shows one item. Three wooden slabs make two.
- Pedestal
- Displays one item. An End Crystal on a pedestal counts as 3 bookshelves for an enchanting table, so five of them max it out.
- Notice Board
- Displays a written book, a map or a banner pattern. A redstone pulse turns the book's page. Eight planks around a paper.
- Globe
- Spins and shows your coordinates when clicked. Found in shipwreck treasure chests or bought from the wandering trader for 10 emeralds.
- Present
- Holds one stack and can be addressed to a player, after which only the two of you can open it. Eight paper.
Travel and tools: rope, flute, slingshot, quiver and keys
Rope is the mod's most used item. It hangs from a ceiling, a fence or the side of a block and is climbed like a ladder. Sliding down it is as fast as falling but takes no fall damage. Placed sideways it is a tightrope you can walk on. Click a hanging rope with more rope to extend it downward; sneak-click with an empty hand to pull it up, along with the block tied to the bottom. Three flax in a column or three string make three.
- Rope Arrow
- An arrow crafted with rope, up to 32. Where it lands it lets down a rope, and it keeps the rope it did not use.
- Flute
- Click your pets or horse with it to bind them, then play it to bring them to you from up to 64 blocks away. Three bamboo.
- Slingshot
- Shoots blocks and items; a block places itself where it lands. With the Stasis enchantment, from End City chests, shots fly straight.
- Bubble Blower
- Blows soap bubbles. Charged with Soap, up to 200 charges. With Stasis it places bubble blocks you can stand on for a minute, 5 charges each.
- Quiver
- Holds 6 stacks of different arrows and lets you pick which to shoot. It has no recipe.
- Lunch Basket
- Holds 6 stacks of food that you eat straight from it. Six bamboo and a carpet.
- Key
- Rename it in an anvil, then click a Safe, Netherite Door or Lock Block to lock it to that name. A gold ingot and two gold nuggets.
- Wrench
- Rotates almost any block, signs, chests and beds included; sneak to turn the other way. Four copper ingots.
Decoration: way signs, flags, candle holders, blackboards and ash
- Way Sign
- An arrow sign; two fit on one fence post or placed stick. Click one with a compass to point it at spawn or a lodestone. An Oak Sign crafted alone gives two.
- Flag
- A banner that hangs sideways and waves. Six wool and a stick, in every colour. On a pole of placed sticks it can be raised and lowered.
- Candle Holder
- A candle over an iron ingot. Goes on floors, walls and ceilings, gives a little more light than a candle, and comes in every colour.
- Blackboard
- Draw on it in black and white, in its screen or by clicking with a dye. Keeps the drawing when broken; Soap wipes it.
- Awning
- A sloped canvas roof; click it to change the angle. Things falling on it bounce off, and sneaking drops you through.
- Ash
- Left in layers where fire burns a block, dropped by mobs that die burning, and found in basalt deltas. Rain washes it away; a shovel collects it.
Throwables: bombs, soap and the cannon
- Bomb
- Thrown, it explodes where it lands. On our server it hurts mobs but breaks only plants, urns and the like, and sets off TNT. Four from a TNT, four iron ingots and a string.
- Blue Bomb
- Only found in chests. It flashes, then blows up with a bigger blast on our server (radius 5.15), weakens mobs and scatters five small bombs that set them on fire.
- Soap
- Washes the dye out of items and the wax and rust off copper, and charges the Bubble Blower. A water bucket, four Ash and a porkchop make six.
- Cannon
- Fires any item; blocks place themselves where they land. Loads gunpowder, one per power level from 1 to 4. Three iron ingots, a dispenser and three planks.
- Cannonball
- The cannon's own ammunition: it breaks blocks by how fast it is going and knocks mobs back. Ten from five blocks of lead.
What ATM10 changes
- ATM10 removes the Faucet's recipe, so it cannot be crafted on our server.
- The Blue Bomb's blast radius is 5.15 here; the mod's default is 3.
- Safes need a Key to lock, and a locked safe can still be broken by another player.
- You cannot drink from a Jar, and flutes must be bound to a pet before they call it.
- Flax for sacks and rope also comes from Pam's HarvestCraft: any flax crop counts.
Questions
What does the Cog Block do in ATM10?
It carries a redstone signal like dust, but as a solid block that also goes straight up and down. Each cog passes the signal on one level weaker. Six come from eight copper ingots around a block of redstone.
Does the Supplementaries Cog Block work with Create?
No. It is a redstone block and turns nothing. For rotation use Create's own cogwheels.
How do I get a Quiver?
It has no recipe. Skeletons sometimes spawn wearing one and drop it, and it is in some dungeon (5%), woodland mansion (9%) and pillager outpost (15%) chests.
Where do I find flax?
Wild flax grows by water in dry biomes, every pillager outpost chest has a few seeds, and farmers and the wandering trader sell them. Pam's HarvestCraft flax also works in the recipes.
